JONES, Gurner Prince (1885-1960)
St George's in the East, later Stepney 1900; Stepney 1901-1945 (DL 1929, CL 1936)
One of the few pre-World War II municipal librarians who had, by part-time study, become university graduates, he remains best known for his long, ungrudging and continuous service to the AAL of which he was Honorary Secretary 1920-1930 and President 1931-1932.
